Motaero staff is very helpful and thorough.
The original cartridge was causing the front end to be harsh and nervous.
The x trainer cone valve V2 cartridge has greatly improved the ride and control of the front end. The cone valve system has eliminated the jamming and binding in the fork tubes at sudden high velocity strokes.
I'm very pleased with the Motaero system.

A major upgrade to the xtrainer when installing the motaero v2 cartridge. The bike feels more planted. The forks now soak up the bumps in the initial stroke and their is a huge improvement regarding deflections. It would be good to have some reference pictures to support the cartridge installation for the average bloke. Don't hesitate to purchase this product. The quality and support from motaero is top notch.
Night and day difference to stock set up …eliminates deflection and climbing out of ruts feels more planted on faster single track too.

Received the XT Cone valve kit this morning and installed it. The workmanship and quality are much better than OEM; I was extremely impressed! It was also very easy to install. The only issue was removing the old cartridge; the factory threadlocker did not let the OEM cartridge easily disengage from the retaining bolt. I was able to make a holding fixture from a soft piece of wood to remove the original cartridge.
I like the extra fork leg adjustment and set the rebound to 14 clicks from full in and the compression 18 clicks from full in. I also used the recommended 500 cc of 5wt. fork oil (Belray). Shawn is super responsive answering questions about setup.
I hope to go riding within the week and will report on the feel of of the forks!
